Mattie Lucille Webb Headrick, 89, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Friday, August 22, 2014.

A resident of the North Georgia, Chattanooga areas for most of her life, she was a former employee of State Farm Insurance where she worked for over 10 years and was a member of Boynton Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and VBS for many years. Mattie and her late husband, Ralph were former owners of a motel in South Georgia for several years and also owned and ran Ralph Headrick Rodeo Inc.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Ross Headrick; parents, Jeff and Jenny Kirkland Webb; son, Daniel Patrick Headrick; two sisters, Amy Webb and Marie Franks and brother, William Webb.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Hyechong Headrick, of Ringgold; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday Aug. 26, in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Keith McLeod officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Aug. 24, from 4-8 p.m. all day on Monday, and until funeral time on Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel Ringgold.
