2 Arrested In LaFayette After Multiple Drugs And Over $125,000 Found During Search Warrants

A lengthy investigation by the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force, along with the FBl and the United States Postal Inspector resulted inserving four search warrants in the city of LaFayette on Tuesday. The investigation was in regard to an international narcotic distribution network.

The search warrants resulted in seizure of several thousand doses of various types of illegal narcotic prescription drugs, as well as illegal steroids. United States currency in excess of $125,000, suspected proceeds of drug transactions, was also seized.

Two individuals were arrested as a result of the search warrants, and were booked into the Walker County Jail. They are identified as Walter Macaters, Jr., 42,60I Culberson Ave., LaFayette, Ga., 30728, and Lacey Siobhan Waters, 32, 601 Culberson Ave., LaFayette, Ga., 30728.

The investigation is on-going and further information will be available as the case develops.
