The Chattanooga area is known for producing many of the best wrestling officials in the region some of whom have been inducted into the Tennessee Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
The local officials association is always in need of ex-wrestlers who want to become officials.
The first meeting is Wednesday October 1 at East Hamilton High School at 6 p.m. associated with the TSSAA wrestling rules meeting.
The officials will meet during October and early November for training sessions. Matches will start at the end of November and go through the Hamilton County middle school season in early March.
The pay is $60 for a dual match and $100-$200 for a tournament depending on the number of wrestlers participating.
