Pauline “Polly” Coffman, 90, of Cleveland, TN, passed away August 31, 2014 in a local hospital.
Polly was preceded in death by her parents, Alice Jackson Coffman and James Elbert Coffman; and her siblings, James Earl Coffman, Earnest Lee Coffman, Gaynelle Coffman, Clifford Clarence Coffman and Billy Gene Coffman.
“Miss Polly,” as she was affectionately known, loved children and worked part time for several years in the daycare at Westwood Baptist Church where she was a member. She also worked for Sanda Hosiery Mill, Peerless Woolen Mill, retired from Bendix and served as a Nurse’s aide for Bradley Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Etta Faye Coffman; nephew, David Coffman; nieces, Michelle Rayburn and her husband Jerry and Trudy Marr of Rome, GA; nephew, Doug Coffman, of Cleveland; and several great-nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Thursday, September 4, at 2 p.m. in the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Minister Wayne Finnell and Reverend Jim Caywood officiating. Interment will follow in the Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with David Coffman, Derrick Marr, Chris Marr, Jerry Rayburn, Steve Oakes and Ronnie Ledford serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of the arrangements.
