Grover Lee Walls, 85, of Tunnel Hill, GA, died on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at his home.

Grover was born March 5, 1929 in Chatsworth, GA the late Carl C. “Tom” and Daisy Walls; and was also preceded in death by a son, Ricky Walls, sisters, Maude Fowler, Mary Belle Walls, nephews, Carl Thomas, Allen Patterson. Grover proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was of the Baptist faith and played the piano for several churches.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Carlton “Dinky” and Sherry Walls of Chatsworth, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Beatrice Jones of Chatsworth, GA, Melba Patterson, Willie and Harold Smith of Tunnel Hill, GA and Patricia Ramsey of Chatsworth, GA; special friend, Donald Goforth of Dalton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Grover Lee Walls will be held Sunday, September 21, at 2 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend James Smith officiating.  He will be laid to rest at the New Hope Kilgore Cemetery in Murray County.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5-9 p.m. Saturday, September 20 and after 10 a.m. Sunday, September 21.

Arrangements are by Ponders Melrose Chapel, Dalton.
