Lt. Col. Robert Charles Elliott, 90, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, September 22, 2014 in a local hospital.  

He was born Jan. 14, 1924 in Eldora, Ia. to the late Floyd and Anna Elliott. 

He served in three wars during his 30 years of active duty in the United State Air Force and 40 years of active retirement.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Beatrice M. Elliott; one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen R. Elliott and Cybele Houston of Chattanooga; one daughter and son-in-law, Christine R. and Rick Jones of Hamilton, Ohio; one brother, George Elliott of Marshalltown, Iowa; one sister, Patricia Bourne of Bloomington, Indiana; five grandchildren, LeAnna (Nathan) Smack, Brandt Jones, Amber Elliott, Audrey Elliott, and Morgan Elliott; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

All services will be private.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 540 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
