Louise D. Patterson, 86, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, September 21, 2014. 

Louise was a member of Mountain View Christian Church and was retired from Parkridge Medical Center after 19 years of service. She was also a former member of Hickory Valley Christian Church where she served as the church’s first Kindergarten teacher. Louise was active in politics and was an avid Vols fan.

Louise is survived by her husband of 64 years, Thomas E. Patterson; daughter, Wanda Patterson (Ed) Kelley; two sons, Steven Wayne Patterson and Thomas O. (Teresa) Patterson; brother, Jason R. Byrd; and six grandchildren, Christina Patterson; Leanne Feagins; Meghan, Erin, and Ross Kelley; and Grace and Blake Neal.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 1 p.m. at Mountain View Christian Church at 9118 Snow Hill Road, Ooltewah. Officiating will be Richard Barr and Danny Roberts.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mountain View Christian Church.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
