Catoosa County Historical Society Meeting Is September 8

The Catoosa County Historical Society will meet on Monday September 8, 2014 at 7:00 PM at the Old Stone Church Museum. Our guest speaker will be

Brad Bennett, the new superintendent of the Chickamauga-Chattanooga National Battlefield. He last assignment was as superintendent at the Andersonville National Historical Site, which includes the  Andersonville National Cemetery and the site of the Andersonville Civil War POW Camp.

He will be speaking about the Andersonville Civil War POW Camp.

The meeting is open to the public. Directions, exit off I-75 at exit 345, go north one mile and the Old Stone Church Museum will be at the intersection of highway 41 and GA highway 2. It is next to the new park.You may also call 706-866-3871 for other information.

Pet Dog Dies In Trailer Fire Near Signal Mountain Road

A pet dog died in a trailer fire off Signal Mountain Road on Wednesday night.   Chattanooga firefighters responded to a structure fire around  9:30 p.m.  in a mobile home park at 174 Bledsoe Terrace. Fingerprint Evidence Leads To Arrest Of Antonio Patton Is Armed Robbery Of Store On Bonny Oaks Drive

Fingerprint evidence has led to the arrest of Antonio Preze Patton for the robbery of a store on Bonny Oaks Drive last Dec. 2. Patton, 27, of 2829 5th Ave., is charged with aggravated robbery.
