Southern Adventist University's Golf Tournament Offers Jaguar Convertible As Hole-In-One Prize

  • Tuesday, September 9, 2014
Players in Southern Adventist University's Dave Cress Memorial Golf Tournament this year could win a 2014 Jaguar F-Type convertible, the hole-in-one prize being offered courtesy of Land Rover, Jaguar, and Porsche of Chattanooga.

The four-man scramble event takes places on Sunday, September 21, at the Nob North Golf Course in Cohutta, Ga.
Registration ranges from $30-$75 with proceeds benefitting the university's scholarship fund.

Mr. Cress, a Seventh-day Adventist conference administrator who passed away in a 2004 plane crash, had a passion for both young people and golf. He played in the tournament every year when it was originally named the Alumni Classic Tournament. Shortly after his tragic death, it was renamed in his honor. An average of 150 players participate each year, raising thousands of dollars for students at the private Christian university in Collegedale.

Participants can sign up or request additional information by calling 423 236-2829 or by visiting southern.edu/golf.
