James Earvin
James Kenneth Earvin, 70, died on Monday, September 28, 2015 in a local hospital.
He was employed at Chattanooga Bakery for 42 years before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Earvin and sister, Patricia Ann Earvin.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Earvin; daughters, Andrea (Rlonda) Earvin and Tamara Bowers; grandchildren, Rodney Shields, Jr., Demetrius Bowens, Corey and Quintarrius Cooper; mother, Lena Rose Earvin; sisters, Rose (Doug) Washington, Elaine Poe; brother-in-law, Hugh Weaver; sister-in-law, Brenda Weaver; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; god-sister, Sharon Heath.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 5, in the chapel with Reverend Jimmie Ingram officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens – East.
The body will lie in state after noon on Sunday, Oct. 4, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
