Lowe Charged With Homicide Of Percy Allen In East Lake Courts In Front Of His 2-Year-Old Daughter

Christopher Lowe, 24, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder after he allegedly shot and killed a man inside his home in East Lake Courts on Tuesday morning.The victim was tending to his two-year-old daughter.

Police found Percy Allen deceased on the scene in the 2200 block of East 28th Street. He had suffered an apparent gunshot wound to his neck.

During an investigation, an officer was told by a witness that a black male named Chris Lowe had attempted to enter her vehicle on 4th Avenue, telling her that he needed to get out of the area.

She said that the defendant was out of breath and sweating.

In addition, two neighbors said they had seen two black males fleeing the victim’s home just 25 minutes before the police arrived.

According to an arrest affidavit, officers witnessed video evidence of the defendant walking with a dresser drawer through East Lake Courts before dropping the drawer and emptying the contents into his pocket.

The dresser drawer, which appears to be from the victim’s residence, was found on the scene.

In the video he is also seen wearing a blue hoodie while walking between video takes, but reappears and leaves without it. A blue hoodie was found by investigators in the area stuffed inside a garbage can.

Lowe’s bail has been set at $740,000 for first-degree murder, especially aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, and unlawful carrying or possession.
