A youthful, talented Chattanooga Christian soccer team showed why they are one of the eight best A-AA teams in the state Saturday with a 3-0 win against visiting Boyd Buchanan.
Freshman Addie Henry accounted for a goal and an assist, freshman Ella Brock had an assist, while junior Taylor Brooks (from Henry) and sophomore Olivia Hoffman found the back of the net (assisted by her sister, Leah Hoffman (Sr,))
The Chargers (15-6-2) will play in the state quarters Wednesday in Murfreesboro.
The state brackets could be posted Sunday.
Four Chattanooga Area Teams: Baylor and GPS in D-II AA, and Notre Dame and CCS in D-I A-AA will carry the greater Chattanooga area banner in the state tournaments.
“The girls are excited to be going back to Murfreesboro and have worked hard since the start of training camp July 20,” said CCS coach Cal Sneller. “Everyone is good at the state and there is no easy path to the finals.”
