Leaders from across the state of Georgia will be visiting Pre-K classrooms this week as part of Georgia’s Pre-K Week called, “Voices for Georgia’s Children.” In Northwest Georgia, one of the newest educational pieces now in place is the Georgia Head Start facility on the Walker County Campus of Georgia Northwestern Technical College.
As partners with the Family Resource Agency in Rossville, Georgia Northwestern and the brand new Georgia Head Start center will be a focus throughout the Oct.
5-9 week. As part of the special week, representatives from across the Peach State will get to stop in and not only visit a classroom, but get to read to the students and see their growth first-hand.
Educational studies are now available which show a direct link between a quality pre-kindergarten program and successful students and workforce. Through its Early Childhood Care and Education program, Georgia Northwestern helps train those who instruct these children at facilities all across the region.
