Junior League Of Chattanooga Launches New Volunteer Program

  • Wednesday, October 7, 2015

Junior League of Chattanooga has launched a new volunteer program, JLC Engage.  Non-profit organizations, churches and school groups looking for a few helpful hands may recruit extra help via JLC Engage.  Ideal projects require help for a day and last between four and six hours.

To submit an application for volunteer support, log on to jlchatt.org and click the JLC Engage link located under the Community Engagement tab. The application will remain open and available on the JLC website.

At least two weeks advanced noticed and a minimum need of two or more volunteers is required for all submissions; applications will be reviewed weekly. Once a project is approved, it will be publicized on the JLC Volunteer Calendar, also located on the website.

The Junior League of Chattanooga Community Engagement Council exists to improve the local Chattanooga community through the effective action of trained volunteers. It is the heart and mission of the Junior League to serve the community while allowing members to benefit and grow through engaging with causes they feel passionate about. JLC Engage supports the mission and volunteerism of the Junior League by offering the support and assistance of its members for community projects anywhere, at any time.

The Community Engagement Council supports community initiatives focused on addressing issues such as healthy food access, community gardening, and connecting community members to educational resources.
