Over the past several months the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office’s Narcotics/Special Operations Division, in conjunction with investigators from Corrections Cooperation’s of America (CCA Silverdale), have been focused on criminal activity involving the smuggling of contraband into the CCA facility.
The investigation concluded with the indictments of former CCA employee and registered nurse, Crystal Whitthorne, former inmate, Matt Holloway, and former inmate, Chris Millsaps, for 10 counts of conspiracy to smuggle contraband into a penal facility.
Former CCA employees, Joseph Steele II, Sherkina Adams, and Lucas Collins have also been arrested within the past 12 months on similar charges.
