David Carroll To Be Honored By Freedoms Foundation Feb. 28

Chattanooga broadcaster David Carroll will be honored Saturday, Feb. 28, by the Freedoms Foundation Chattanooga Chapter.  

Awards Chairman Gene Pike said Mr. Carroll has made a difference in education through his School Patrol report on WRCB TV Channel 3.  School Patrol has been on the air on the evening news since 1992.  

Freedoms Foundation recognizes individuals who have promoted education, citizenship and patriotism.  

The public is invited to this presentation at the Harrison Ruritan Club on Highway 58 at 1 p.m. 

Mr. Pike said Mr. Carroll's name will also be submitted to the national organization for a national award.  

Mr. Carroll started his career in 1973 in radio and worked at WDEF TV before joining the WRCB TV news team.  Mr. Carroll is author of Chattanooga Radio and TV.
