The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help identify two women who used a stolen credit card account number to purchase iPads at the Cleveland Target store on January 22.
The pair went to the electronics area of the store around 1:30 p.m., where they made the purchase of as many as eight I-Pads with a combined value of several thousand dollars. They completed multiple transactions apparently using different credit cards. Investigators have identified one victim but speculate others may have had card numbers compromised and used to produce fraudulent duplicate cards.
The women are black, and appear to be in their late 20s or early 30s.
A light-colored vehicle, possibly a silver or white Nissan, met the pair in the parking lot as they exited the store.
Sheriff Watson said anyone with information that might help in identifying the suspects is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Division of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office by calling 423 728-7336.
