Hunter Lee Seiber
Arrests have been made on two people involved in a large number of recent auto burglaries.
Charges filed on a 17-year-old and Hunter Lee Seiber, 18, include 15 counts of burglary of an auto, one count each of vandalism, one count each of a violation of stop, halt and frisk, as well as a count each of theft under $500. Seiber was additionally charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, due to the inclusion of the 17-year-old. Both were arrested after a prowler call Thursday night in the area of Carriage Lane near Bellefounte Baptist Church off North Lee Highway.
Bradley County patrol officers saw flashlight beams in that area, as well as hearing a vehicle start.
Shortly thereafter, the two were taken into custody. Members of the BCSO Criminal Investigations and Patrol Divisions interviewed the two, leading to the arrests and the clearing of a number of cases involving the theft of several items from the vehicles.
Sheriff Eric Watson said, “This is the perfect example of citizens working with our patrol and detective divisions to put thieves in jail. I commend all who took part in solving each case. We are simply not going to tolerate thieves stealing in our neighborhoods.”
