Dalton Police Seek Suspect In Credit Card Fraud

  • Tuesday, March 24, 2015

The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying two men who used stolen credit card information to purchase gift cards at a Dalton store. The two men were recorded on store surveillance making the purchase.

The incident happened last Thursday at the Bi-Lo on Glenwood Avenue. Two men entered the store together and bought two Shell gas cards and a Visa gift card. The victim in the case noticed the unauthorized activity on his account and reported it to police on Friday. The victim in the case was still in possession of his credit card and investigators do not know how the suspects got his account information.  The suspects apparently used a fake card to make the transaction.  The victim reported that his card was apparently also tried at the Shugart Road Home Depot but it was declined.

Anyone with information on the identity of these suspects is asked to contact Detective Greg Bates at 706-278-9085, dial 9, and enter ext. 137.
