Tyler Payne and Corbin Brooksbank hit home runs and Tyson Buchanan had five RBIs as McCallie won twice from host Brentwood Academy, 17-10 and 15-5, Saturday to complete the three game weekend sweep.
Payne was the winner in game one (17-10) as the Blue Tornado had 16 hits and scored five runs in the sixth and seventh innings.
In game two, Drew Vaughn (3-2) had six strikeouts in five innings of work and was 2-3 with a pair of RBIs as McCallie won the second game, 15-5. Payne had four RBIs. McCallie (15-6, 7-2 D-II M/E Region) has now won seven straight region games,while B.A. is 9-9-1 (5-5-1 DII E/M region).
After playing Frankling County Tuesday, McCallie continues region play next weekend at Ensworth.
