Coty Lamar Harris, 20, of Chattanooga, formerly of Decatur, TN, died on Monday April 13, 2015.
He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church in Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jessie and Pauline Templeton; and uncles, Stanley Templeton and Jackie Hennessee.
Coty is survived by his mother and step-father, Whitney and Shane Watkins, of Decatur; sisters, Chelby Harris, of Decatur and Niki Hayes and her husband David, of Niota; brother, MASN Brandon Watkins, of Kings Bay GA; nephews, Jackson Eiche and Landon Hayes; niece, Kinsley Hayes; father and step-mother, Darryl and Carrie Harris; step-sister, Hunter Sayre, all of East Brainerd; paternal grandparents, Cecil Moses, of Athens, George and Donette Watkins, of Etowah, Ron and Eva Harris, of Ooltewah; aunts and uncles, Mark and Lanelle Walker, Lois and Paul Brackin, Ronnie and Lori Templeton, Tommy and Tina Templeton, David and Kim Templeton, Pat Alonso, Tracy and Jaynel Watkins, Donald and Angel Harris, Dewayne and Sandy Harris, Rhonda and Paul Swerigen; great-aunts and uncles, Bertha Dake, T.F. and Christina Dake, J.M. and Carolyn Dake, LaFayette and Holen Dake, Kenny Dake, Gene and Marilyn Harris, Doyle and Darlene Harris, Larry Harris, Donnie and Sandy Barbee, Charles and Edith Barbee, Janie Underwood, Tony Barbee and Evon Varro; and numerous cousins and friends.
A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, April 16 at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with Rev. Herman Jordan officiating.
Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery at 11 a.m. Friday, April 17. Pallbearers will be Brandon Watkins, David Hayes, J.J. Templeton, Blake Templeton, Dustin Cranfield, Brian Burchfield, Donald Harris.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 16 from 4-8 p.m.
