Terry Ladon Cochran, 45, of Dalton, GA, died on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the local hospital.

Terry was born August 3, 1969 in Dalton, GA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Sue Cochran; and brothers, Daniel Lynn Cochran and Benny Joe Cochran.

He was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church and Trinity Full Bible Church. He competed in the Special Olympics and loved the American Flag. He would always ask if you wanted a chew and wanted to shake your hand. He never meet a stranger. If he meet you ten years ago he would remember you. He loved going to church and was always clapping and singing. His favorite singer was Randy Travis. He loved Daisy Duke and always wanted to go to Cherokee. NC.

He is survived by his father, Reed Cochran; sister and brother-in-law, Lawanda and Jimmy Cochran; nieces and nephews, Brandi Bivens, Dustin and Breanna Bivens and Makayla Cochran; great-niece, Gracelynn Alyssa Harley Bivens all of Dalton, GA; special cousin and sister, Susan and John Garner; and very special friends, Deborah and Brent Stephens, Dwight and Brittany Stephens, Derick Wilkey, Frank Bennett of Dalton, GA and Ron Tavares of Varnell, GA.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Terry Ladon Cochran will be held Wednesday, April 22, at 2 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Junior Williams and Reverend Gary Gerrett officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel Cemetery with Makayla Cochran, Charles Ethridge, Derick Wilkey, David Pack, Joey Pack and Andy Pack serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a white dove release. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21.

The family asks that if you send flowers, please add an American Flag in it.
