Elbert “Buck” Morgan, 82, of Menlo, Georgia, died on Saturday May 16, 2015, in Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Morgan was born May 23, 1932, in Leesburg, Al., the son of the late Emmett and Eunice Morgan. He was a well-known businessman, and used car dealer for over 50 years, he loved trading, buying and selling numerous things. He also loved riding motorcycles and going for wagon rides with his mules.
He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Jeffery Morgan, and brother, Alvis Morgan.
Survivors include his wife and mother of his children, Lois Winters, sons and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Jane Morgan, David Morgan, daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and William Hughes, grandsons, Tommy Morgan, Kyle Hughes, granddaughter, Cindy Morgan, great-grandchildren, Wes Blackmon, Taylor Ozment, Krista Ozment, Alexis Hughes, Tara Morgan, and niece, Janice Morgan Boyd.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Terry Hurley officiating, and with interment in the Summerville Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Donnie McCary, Wes Blackmon, Taylor Ozment, Clint McCary, Rad Carrion, Riley Cooper. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Winters, Frank Willis, Roy Robertson, Jerry Purdy, H.M. Hancock, Frank Crane.
Mr. Morgan will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends on Monday, May 18, from 6-8 p.m.
