Oliver J. Cordell, 80, of Pikeville, died on Sunday, June 28, 2015.
He was a member of Mooneyham Freewill Baptist Church.
Oliver was preceded in death by his daughters, Charlotte and Cynthia Cordell; grandduaghter, Amanda Hurst Stewart; parents, Joe and Ollie Cordell; sisters, Bernice McMillen, and Edna Oakes.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Cordell, of Pikeville; daughter, Sue (Lonnie) Hurst, Pikeville; sons, Dewayne (Gracie) Cordell, Pikeville, Melvin (Cindy) Cordell, Pikeville, Ricky (Kathy) Cordell, Jamestown, Tn.; grandchildren, Adam Hurst, Joe (Andrea) Cordell, Nathan Howard, and Chelsie Cordell; great-grandchildren, Trinity and Collin Guy, Carson Cordell; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be on Wednesday, July 1, at 1 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Brother Wayne Sullivan and Brother Bill Montandon officiating. Burial will be in Blankenship Cemetery.
