Issue Arises Over RiverCity Company Selling The Mayfield Annex For The County

  • Wednesday, June 3, 2015

County Commission Chairman Jim Fields on Wednesday raised an issue about the RiverCity Company handling the sale of the Mayfield Annex for the county.

He said he had understood the property needed to be sold by a licensed real estate broker.

County Attorney Rheubin Taylor was not present, and the issue was delayed so it can be researched.

The plan was for the development group to seek proposals on the historic property at Seventh and Walnut.

The Mayfield Annex includes the old Elks Building as well as the adjacent former Title Guaranty and Trust building.
