Scenic Community Credit Union (formerly Dupont) will celebrate its name change on Friday, July 24 at 10 a.m. The business is located at 4503 Hixson Pike in Hixson across from Hamill Road. The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce is coordinating the event.
As a part of the celebration, Scenic Community Credit Union invites local businesses and individuals to participate in their school supply drive to benefit local schools.
"SCCU is a local, not-for-profit financial institution owned by its members. Therefore they are able to offer lower loan rates, competitive savings rates, no service charges on checking and savings accounts and free Visa debit cards," officials said.
Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday.
