Terry Gaunt, 49, Stabbed Multiple Times By Girlfriend, Kimberly Moore, 45

Terry Gaunt, 49, was stabbed multiple times early Tuesday morning.

At approximately 2:22 a.m., the Chattanooga Police Department responded to 5500 Central Ave. for a stabbing. Officers located Mr. Gauntt, who had been stabbed multiple times.

Mr. Gauntt said he was with his girlfriend, Kimberly Moore, 45, when he asked her for his cigarette lighter.

He stated that is when Ms. Moore grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed him repeatedly.

The two then ran outside which is where Mr. Gauntt was able to take the knife from Ms. Moore and call police.

Officers quickly located Ms. Moore down the street where she was taken into custody. Mr. Gauntt was transported by HCEMS to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Kimberly Moore was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder.
