Vice President Biden, Secretary Of Defense Set To Attend Memorial Service In Chattanooga On Saturday Honoring Fallen Military Personnel

  Vice President Joe Biden will attend the memorial service by the U.S. Marine Forces Reserve, U.S. Navy Reserve, and city of Chattanooga on Saturday in memory of the Sailor and four Marines killed July 16 in Chattanooga. 

      Secretary of Defense Ash Carter, Governor of Tennessee Bill Haslam, Senator Lamar Alexander, Senator Bob Corker, Congressman Chuck Fleischmann, Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Mayor Andy Berke are set to attend.  

     The Navy and Marine Corps family and the city of Chattanooga "will honor the fallen service members, express appreciation to the Chattanooga Police Department and emergency responders and thank the community for its support."   

The service at McKenzie Arena, 720 E. 4th St., will start at 2 p.m.

Availability is limited to 8,500 seats on a first come, first service basis.
