CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. on Friday announced that Regal Entertainment Group  will convert Regal Cinemas 8 at Hamilton Place to a luxury theater. Once the improvements are complete the new theater will show first-run movies and feature plush recliner seats, state-of-the-art technology, and an enhanced food and beverage menu. Construction is expected to begin in 2016.

"CBL is committed to bringing the best new retail and entertainment concepts to Hamilton Place," said Michael Lebovitz, executive vice president - development and administration, CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. "We are excited that the Regal Cinemas 8 will be upgraded to the first luxury theatre experience in the local market. This addition will further solidify the Hamilton Place campus as the dominant shopping and entertainment destination in the area."

As part of the theatre renovation there is an opportunity for further development with the addition of a pad location for a full-service restaurant.  Regal Cinemas 8 is an 8-plex located on Hamilton Place Boulevard, adjacent to I-75 and Big River Grille, on the perimeter of Hamilton Place Mall.

“Chattanooga is an important market to Regal and we’re excited to welcome guests to experience the luxurious upgrades first-hand,” said Todd Boruff, senior vice president of real estate at Regal Entertainment Group. “The all-new Regal Cinemas 8 will provide exceptional moviegoing features, including comfortable recliners, specialty food items and expanded beverage choices.”
