Hattiesburg, MS. – The Dalton State women’s golf team will join a mostly Southern States Athletic Conference field in the Carey Collegiate, hosted by William Carey University, on Monday and Tuesday at the Par-72 Canebrake Country Club.
The course will be set at 5856 yards as the Roadrunners compete against Bethel University, Brenau University, Loyola University of New Orleans, Martin Methodist, Millsaps College, Spring Hill College, the University of Mobile, Wallace State and William Carey University.
All Monday tee-times are on the first hole as Dalton State, William Carey and Mobile begin at 8:30 a.m.
CDT. Loyola, Bethel and Brenau will follow at 9:20 a.m. Dalton State, Brenau, Bethel, Loyola, Martin Methodist and Mobile are members of the SSAC.
“We are excited to head to Mississippi for the tournament,” said Coach Jim McGrew. “This is basically a conference preview for us and the only time that we will see most of these teams before the conference tournament. Hopefully we have improved in the areas that we struggled in during out last tournament and can have a good showing.”
The defending SSAC Champion Lady Roadrunners come off of a season opening win in the Coastal Georgia Invitational at Jekyll Island, GA. Roadrunner newcomer Katie Dalton was tournament medalist.
The Dalton State men will compete Monday and Tuesday at the Thomas University Fall Invitational, which will be held at Kinderlou Golf Club in Valdosta.
