Mocs Prepare For No. 23 Weber State

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team opens the 2016 NCAA FCS Playoffs at home against Weber State on Saturday, Nov. 26.  Game time against the Wildcats is set for 2:00 p.m. (E.S.T.) at Finley Stadium. 
 
UTC is back in the top 10 this week, checking in at No. 9 in the FCS Coaches Poll.  The Mocs own an 8-3 overall record and finished tied for second in the Southern Conference with a 6-2 league mark.  They are also No. 11 in this week's STATS FCS Top 25. 
 
UTC has already posted its fourth consecutive 8-win season, the longest such streak in school history.
 This is the 46th consecutive week UTC is in the Top 25, the sixth longest active streak in the nation.
 
This is the third consecutive appearance in the FCS Playoffs for Chattanooga.  The Mocs have been to the postseason four times overall, also making a trip in 1984.  UTC advanced to the second round last season and the quarterfinals in 2014. 
 
Weber State is coming off a 34-28 win over Idaho State.  The Wildcats moved into the Top 25 this week, checking in a No. 23 in the coaches poll and No. 25 on the STATS ledger. 
 
They have a 7-4 overall record and finished third in the Big Sky with a 6-2 conference mark.  This is their  fifth appearance in the FCS Playoffs ('87, '91, '08, '09).
