Woodmore Bus Crash First Responders To Be Honored Friday

  • Thursday, December 1, 2016

More than 100 first responders who were at the tragic school bus incident Nov. 21 will be acknowledged Friday with a gift from Food City and Cumulus Chattanooga.

Representatives of the Chattanooga Police Department, Chattanooga Fire Department, Hamilton County EMS, and private EMS companies will be presented with plaques of appreciation and hams at Chattanooga Fire Station 13 in Brainerd at 4 p.m.

“We know that the families affected will be and have been taken care of, but the first responders are often considered as just 'doing their job.'  As a former police officer, I know that an incident like this stays with you for a long time, possibly forever, said Cumulus Director of Sales Demarland Dean.
