Regis Ann McGhee Jay, 87, of Ringgold, Georgia went to her eternal home on Friday, December 30, 2016.
A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, she was a member of Ringgold First Baptist Church. She worked with her husband, who was the love of her life, since age 15, at his grocery store. She later retired from Babb Lumber Company.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Doc” Jay; her parents, Marvin McGhee and Ina McGhee; and siblings, Betty Land and Leonard McGhee.
Survivors include daughter, Debbie (Steve) Anderson; son, Chuck (Cathy) Jay; grandchildren, Matthew and Benjamin Sandidge, Adam and Hannah Jay.
The family would like to say a special thanks to the nurses and caregivers at Rosewood Memory Care and Assisted Living and Tapestry Hospice for all they done for Regis and the family.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 2, in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Bruce Sloan and Dr. Dan Whitaker officiating.
Interment will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at Anderson Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday, from 1-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ringgold First Baptist Church, 7611 Nashville St., Ringgold, Ga. 30736, or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 922 East Morris Street, Dalton, Ga. 30721.
