Edna Camp Celebrates 55th Year In The Criminal Court Clerk's Office

Tuesday marked the anniversary of the longest running employee of Hamilton County Government. Edna Camp started working with the Hamilton County Criminal Court Clerk’s Office on this day in 1961.

 

 Current Criminal Court Clerk Vince Dean noted he was only three years old at the time.

 

He said, "Ms.

Edna is known as the First Lady of the Courthouse.  She said today that she “Can’t remember when she didn’t work there.” 

 

Mr. Dean added, “We don’t want to work without her here, either.”

 

Brad Tucker, chief of staff for the clerk’s office, said, “The knowledge that Ms. Edna brings to the office is irreplaceable.”

 

Ms. Camp was surprised with a cake commemorating her anniversary.  Several area Judges, attorneys and county employees stopped by to congratulate her. 

 

When asked if she see’s retirement anywhere in the near future, she quipped, “I have new contacts and I just don’t see it anywhere.”
