Sept. 13 Trial Date Set In Lookout Valley Murders

  • Wednesday, March 9, 2016

A Sept. 13 trial date has been set for two men charged in a triple murder in Lookout Valley.

Skyler Allen and Derek Morse are set for trial in the courtroom of Judge Barry Steelman.

Jacob Allison, who was 17 at the time of the April 9, 2014 killing spree, is also charged.

All three are charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder.

A status conference before Judge Steelman is set for April 12.

Prosecutors say Allen and Morse killed Caleb Boozer, Jon Morris and John Lang, as they sat outside an RV off Brown's Ferry Road. Allison drove them to the scene, authorities say.

Michael Callan was also shot, but he was able to survive and to testify at a preliminary hearing.

The shootings were allegedly over a grudge involving a $20 debt.
