I am concerned about the interviews the Hamilton County School Board will be doing Thursday. My understanding is the meeting will take place at 3 p.m. There is another type meeting at 4, then the regular school board meeting at 5 p.m. How many questions can be asked by nine board members in 15 to 20 minutes per candidate?
That is the time allowed with three persons to be interviewed for a very important job. The superintendent will have hundreds of children, teachers and many tax dollars to work with. There are a variety of areas to cover for the board to be concerned with while doing their job.
My question is would you hire someone with that much responsibility with a 15-minute interview?
That is the amount of time I use to allowed for interviews for people doing standard office work.
We also had a resume before they arrived. The jobs were nothing of this great responsibility.
I plan to be there and hope a large number of people will be there with me.
