Morning Pointe Foundation Golf Tournament Tees Off April 28

  • Saturday, April 23, 2016

Morning Pointe Foundation will host the Second Annual Mastering Memory Care Golf Tournament Thursday, April 28, at the Lookout Mountain Golf Club in Lookout Mountain, Ga. Shotgun start is at 12:30 p.m.

The tournament drives home the Morning Pointe Foundation’s mission to support nursing scholarship opportunities, caregiver initiatives and support groups and dementia care networks.  More than 30 sponsors and 88 golfers were present at the 2015 tournament and raised $50,000.  Many of these sponsors are returning to support this year’s event.

The 2015 funds enabled The Foundation to open a public resource library for families caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s and memory-related illnesses with special support from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

The library, located at The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Chattanooga, creates a stronger partnership between the nonprofit and UTC’s Gerontology and Masters of Nursing programs.
