Christine R. Byrd, 86, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at her home.

Christine was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was a member of Delray Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Eli and Hazel Blevins Roden.

Survivors include her husband, Buddy Byrd,two sons, Eddie Byrd and Michael Dewayne Byrd, daughter, Karen (Ed) Jacobs, two brothers, Teddy Roden and Clinton Roden, two sisters, Wynnona Brown and Mary Violet Moyers, one grandchild, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, at National Cemetery with Reverend Randy Chestnutt and Reverend Roger DeHart officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12–2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
