The Chattanooga Lookouts scored four runs in the seventh inning Monday to overcome a 6-4 deficit and defeat the Montgomery Biscuits 9-6 in the final game of the team's five-game series.
The Lookouts hit themselves into an early 4-1 lead with three runs in the first from RBIs by Daniel Palka, Travis Harrison and Mitch Garver and an RBI triple from Levi Michael in the home half of the second.
Montgomery stormed back with three runs in the fifth to chase Lookouts starter Ryan Eades and another pair of scores off bullpen arm Jake Reed in the sixth. Eades finished the day with six hits, four runs and three walks allowed while striking out four.
Trailing six to four after the seventh inning stretch the Lookouts offense kicked into gear.
With one out Travis Harrison was hit by a pitch and Mitch Garver walked to put two men on for Leo Reginatto who smacked a RBI double.
After a pitching change Joe Maloney crushed a double of his own to plate two runs and give the Lookouts the 7-6 lead. Another Lookouts double, this time by TJ White, brought home the team's eighth run. The team's ninth and final run came an inning later on a Harrison RBI double.
With the three-run lead the Lookouts bullpen took over from there. Mason Melotakis and Trevor Hildenberger combined to strike out two batters and allow zero runs. Hildenberger's effort earned him his first save of the year.
After an off day Tuesday the Lookouts travel to Mobile for a five-game series against the Bay Bears. The team returns home a week from today on May 9th, for 10 straight home contests.
