Dennis Clark Launches Campaign For 28th Legislative District

  • Tuesday, May 3, 2016

Dennis Clark launched his campaign for the 28th Legislative District.

A release from the campaign stated: "When asked why he is running against an incumbent in his own political party, the answer for Dennis Clark is simple: Why not! Why not, when mothers continue to bury their children to senseless acts of violence. Why not, when our most vulnerable children still struggle to obtain an equitable and quality education in the “best midsize city” in America. And why not, when working moms and dads still struggle to make ends meet and can barely afford to pay rent. 'I’m running for the people, who deserve a better shot at hope and a brighter future,' said Mr. Clark.

"Mr. Clark’s candidacy is not a indictment against his opponent who has served honorably for a very long time; however, his campaign is a mandate and a movement by the people who believe we can do better. If you can believe in better, then Mr. Clark asks that you believe in him and grant him the opportunity to earn your trust as your next state representative for the 28th Legislative District.

"He believes we need to raise pay, create good-paying jobs, and build an economy that works for everyone including the middle class and the working poor. Mr. Clark will be innovative, strategic and put partisanship aside, bringing people together from all walks of life, to get things done for Chattanoogans at the state capitol. He will be the change we need and the voice we deserve in creating new jobs, increasing education opportunities at our priority schools, address youth delinquency, combat violent criminals, and improve the economic opportunity for all Tennesseans. With his team of experienced policy advisors the approach is in the campaign’s Safer, Stronger, Smarter strategy."
