MOBILE, AL - The Mobile BayBears shutout the Chattanooga Lookouts 1-0 Saturday night at Hank Aaron Stadium. Mobile has already won three of the first four games in the five-game series. The 1-0 shutout was Mobile's second in the current series. Each of the four games has been decided by one run.

Getting shut out happens. But how often does a team with nine hits get shut out? How many times does a team reach base in eight out of nine innings and fail to score? And how, with nine hits, did they manage only four at-bats with runners in scoring position?

The one run of the ballgame came in the bottom of the first inning.

Aaron Slegers (2-2) pitched well enough to win, allowing seven hits in six innings, the lone run of the game was charged to Slegers in the first inning.

He struck out two.

BayBears RHP Yoan Lopez (3-2) delivered his best performance of the 2016 season. The righty earned his third victory after he shutout the Lookouts over 6.1 innings. Lopez allowed just six hits, walked one and struck out three batters.

LHP Steve Hathaway entered the game for Lopez with one out in the seventh inning and pitched a total of 1.2 scoreless innings.

RHP Matt Stites came on in the ninth inning. After striking out the first batter. Stites allowed a hit to LF Joe Maloney but a batter later, forced C Stuart Turner into a game-ending double play.

The Lookouts' offense was led by Leo Reginatto and Travis Harrison, who each collected two hits. Zach Granite got a hit and stole his 13th base.

Lookouts' relliever Corey Williams walked two and struck out two over the final two innings.

Chattanooga finishes their series in Mobile on Sunday before traveling home to open a five-game set with Pensacola (Reds) on Monday evening. Game time is 7:15 p.m.
