With the score tied at three with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning, Lookouts outfielder Zack Granite singled home Edgar Corcino to give the team with 4-3 walk-off win over the Smokies.

Tied going into the bottom of the ninth inning, Corcino led off with his second hit of the game. He advanced to second base on a bunt.

A Levi Michael single pushed Corcino to third base. Granite came to the plate and played hero when he singled in Corcino with the game-winning run.

The Lookouts record improved to 54-59 on the season

David Hurlbut started for Chattanooga. The lefty gave up two runs on four hits over seven innings. He walked one and struck out six batters. Mason Melotakis pitched the eighth inning. He gave up the game-tying run on one hit and one walk . Raul Fernandez got the win thanks to a perfect ninth inning..

Long before the dramatic finish in the ninth inning, the Lookouts jumped out to an early lead in the first on a Mitch Garver single. The RBI gave Garver his 62nd of the year which brings him within three of tying Daniel Palka for the team lead.

In the second the lead increased on a Corcino single and a sacrifice fly by Levi Michael.

The three runs were enough cushion for starting pitcher David Hurlbut who turned in another solid performance. The southpaw allowed two runs in the fourth, but put up zeros in the fifth, sixth and seventh. Hurlbut's ERA is now 3.50 on the year.

Up 3-2, the Lookouts hit a bump in the eighth inning as David Freitas doubled home Victor Caratini to tie the game up.

The game seemed destined for extra-innings, but Edgar Corcino had other ideas as he singled to start off the inning. After a sacrifice bunt and a Levi Michael single, Corcino scored from third on Granite's timely hit.
