Home On Howell Road Damaged By Fire Monday Night

The Chattanooga Fire Department responded to a reported house fire just before 1 a.m. on Tuesday.

Chattanooga Firefighters arrived on scene to find an involved house fire at 4302 Howell Road in the Woodmore Community at 12:57 a.m. A fast attack with hose lines was used and the fire was called under control at 1:08 a.m.

The homeowner stated that neighbors alerted them that there was a fire in the carport of the home. The house next door sustained fire exposure damage from the intense flames. Firefighters utilized tarps on the next door house to help with exposure to the natural elements.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Losses are estimated around $90,000.

No injuries were reported, but the Chattanooga Police Department and Hamilton County EMS were on scene.
