11 Apply For 30th Judicial District Circuit Court Opening

The Trial Court Vacancy Commission will consider 11 applicants when it meets on Aug. 8, in Memphis to select nominees for the Circuit Court vacancy in the 30th Judicial District – Shelby County.

The vacancy was created by the announcement by Judge Donna M. Fields that she will retire Sept. 1.

The applicants are:

Frank S. Cantrell
Memphis

The Trial Court Vacancy Commission will interview the applicants on Monday, Aug. 8, at the Memphis Marriott East, 5795 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119. The meeting will include a public hearing starting at 9:00 a.m. CDT, during which anyone may express their opinions in opposition to the applicants. The interview and public hearing will be open to the public.

The Commission is expected to vote immediately following the interviews and forward three names to Gov. Bill Haslam for his consideration.
