4 Injured In 2-Car Accident On Hixson Pike

Four people were injured in an accident on Tuesday on Hixson Pike.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., HCSO deputies responded to an accident involving two vehicles at the 9000 block of Hixson Pike at Chip Drive.
 
According to the preliminary investigation, the driver of a Chevrolet Trailblazer heading northbound on Hixson Pike crossed over the center lane and veered into the opposite lane where it hit a Honda Civic with three passengers in the driver-side door.
 
Due to the damage to the Civic, the driver was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by Dallas Bay Fire Department personnel.

The driver of the Civic, along with the other two occupants in the car, were transported to a local hospital via HCEMS.
 
The driver of the Trailblazer was transported to a local hospital by a relative in a private vehicle.
