David Edward Lawson, 64, of Dayton, Tennessee, died Monday, August 22, 2016 at his home.

He was born on Sept. 26, 1951, in Meigs County to the late Robert and Helen (Hughes) Lawson; and was also preceded in death by his brother, Jim Lawson.

David lived most of his life in Dayton working as an auto mechanic. He loved working on cars and was an avid collector of memorabilia. 

David is survived by his wife of 37 years, Patricia “Trish” (Brown) Lawson of Dayton; his three sons, David (Lisa) Lawson Woody of Evensville, Jason (Kathryn) Lawson of Winterhaven, FL, and David (Nicole) Lawson; his two daughters, Crystal (Dan) Phipps and Maria “Mo” Aispuro, all of Dayton; his brother Robert “Buddy” (Wilma) Lawson; his sister Judy Lawson, both of Dayton; 13 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

A funeral service for David will be held Thursday, Aug. 25 at noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating. He will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens next to his parents.
