The Art's Meow: 4th Annual Celebration of Community Cats, an art show and sale featuring cat-themed works by local artists, is Sunday, Oct. 16, from noon to 4 p.m., at Coolidge Park's Walker Pavilion on Chattanooga's Northshore.

Proceeds from this free charitable and educational event will benefit The Alice Fund, a non-profit that helps raise funds and give access to medical care for cats whose owners and caregivers lack these resources.

In addition to art that features cats in a variety of media, this family-friendly event will include face painting, pumpkin decorating, drawing for a door prize, informational tables about community cats and their care and light refreshments.

"By accepting donations from generous cat lovers, The Alice Fund gives contributors a way to extend their love for cats to those in need," said Dr. Marcia Toumayan, veterinarian and medical advisor to the fund.
