Sarah Zeanah
Sarah Rose Zeanah, 74, died peacefully on Thursday, September 22, 2016.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert C. mother, Bettye J. Rose; father Robert C. Eaton, Sr.; grandparents, Grover and Willie Rose, and Ely and Essie Eaton.
She was a graduate of Chattanooga High School. She was previously employed by Chattanooga News Free Press, and Standard Publishing Company in McMinnville, Tn., where she lived for several years. She retired from Cigna Healthcare.
She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church, where she taught the Christian Friendship Sunday School class, was a former member of the chancel choir, UMW member.
Sarah’s interests included painting, and studying God’s Word. She had become a prayer warrior because of God’s gracious forgiveness of her sins.
Survivors are her son, Michael Zeanah and wife, Donna; daughter, Katy Smith and her husband, Barry; grandchildren, Daniel Shawn McDaniel, Caren Elizabeth Green and husband, Heath, and Casey Dawn Hamby and her husband, Jacob; three precious great-granddaughters, Piper Green, Lily and Iris Hamby; four special cousins and their spouses.
Visitation will be in St. John United Methodist Church, on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Reverend Carl Blackburn and the Reverend Tommy Nesser will conduct the service at 11:30 a.m. in the church. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. John United Methodist Church.
