Cook Beats Marlar In Hangover 2016 Dirt Finale At 411 Motor Speedway

In the last race of 2016 Brasstown, North Carolina's Ray Cook overpowered pole sitter/defending race champion Donald McIntosh for the $4,000 payday at 411 Motor Speedway outside Gatlinburg Saturday afternoon.

The event in its seventh rendition hosted 23 Super Late Models under the CT Promotions banner at Mitch McCarters 1/3 mile dirt track facility.

Cook held off a late challenge by Mile Marlar of Winfield, Tn. for the victory in his new but familiar orange #53 "A+ Moving & Storage Co, Pope Construction, Motion Sensors, American Racer Tires South" sponosred Capital / Jay Dickens powered racecar.  

Tennessean Jason Cardwell and Jason Welshan finished third and fourth with Virginia's Russell Erwin rounding out the Top 5 respectfully.

The first race of winter is coming up in Talladega, Al. next weekend, Jan. 5-8 for the 2017 "iceBowl" paying $6,000 to-WIN Super Late Models Sunday afternoon.
