Inez Greene Veal, 88, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in the early hours of January 20, 2017.
Inez was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Carl Mark Veal, Jr., her parents, Leila and Lother Greene, her brother, Fred Greene, her sisters, Lois Pauline Greene, Willene Stiefel, Louise Allen and Wynell “Peanut” Gann, and her son-in-law, Joseph Charles Hurt, Jr.
She is survived by many who loved her including her daughter, Kay Hurt; son, John (Andee) Veal; grandchildren, Jennifer Hurt Dunleavy, Sarah Veal and Josh Veal; great-grandson, Jacob Dunleavy; sisters, her beloved twin, Ione Thornberry, and adored youngest sister, Joan Blevins; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 23, at 1 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Richard Blevins officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
